President Erdogan: Turkey to Produce Natural Gas in Black Sea
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a press conference on Friday after attending Friday prayers at the mosque. During the press conference, he discussed Turkey’s plans to produce natural gas in the Black Sea and gave an update on the earthquake relief efforts in the country.
According to the president, Turkey plans to begin producing natural gas in the Black Sea on April 20. All plans and calculations have been made, and if Turkey can afford it, the country will begin production on that date. Erdogan did not provide any specifics on the amount of natural gas Turkey plans to produce.
The president then addressed the ongoing earthquake relief efforts in the country. He said that house construction works are continuing in all 11 provinces affected by the earthquakes. The government plans to finish and deliver permanent residences within one year to those who were affected by the earthquakes.
Turkey has been hit hard by a series of earthquakes in recent months, particularly in the western province of Izmir. The government has been working to provide aid and relief to those affected, including building new homes for those who lost their homes in the earthquakes.
